Advisor affiliations continue to be the same. In the US, IATAN, CLIA and ASTA shares have all increased marginally. In Canada however, IATA membership has grown from 92% to 98%, while ACTA membership has jumped from 48% in the TMR River Cruise Outlook 2023, to the current Outlook. CLIA shares remain the same. Memberships in the associations are not just a boost to the individual advisor but also the community when the associations lobby for the community. For example, in September 2024, the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) concluded the ASTA Legislative Day 2024 in which about 250 travel professionals shared with Congressmembers and their legislative aides two issues impacting the industry: airline ticket refunds and representation on ACPAC, the influential Department of Transportation Committee. 15 TRADE ASSOCIATION AFFILIATION, U.S. ADVISORS TRADE ASSOCIATION AFFILIATION, CANADIAN ADVISORS 81% 51% 42% IATAN CLIA ASTA 98% 60% 36% IATA ACTA CLIA AFFILIATIONS MATTER 15 https://www.travelmarketreport.com/articles/%20%20%20%20/news/articles/a-big-day-in-washington-for-the-travel-industry CHART 29-30 | 47
