Being part of a host agency has many advantages. Host
agencies often offer training programs to their travel advi-
sors, which helps them to stay on top of industry trends

.
And, host agency charges could range from anywhere
between $0—there are some host agencies that charge
no fee at all—to even above $1,000 annually. A majority
of advisors (42%) said that they pay between $100 and
$500 every year to their host agency.
Interestingly, when it comes to commissions, the higher
the revenues, the less the advisors are paying to the host
agencies. Fifty-seven percent of advisors said that they
paid 10% to 30% in commissions to host agencies.
