
The inability to take any vacations over the
previous two years has made a lot of travelers
tackle experiences on their bucket list. The choices
made by first-time cruisers, however, differ from
those made by repeat cruisers. While first-timers
were most likely (59%) to opt for the contemporary
segment, returning cruisers are most likely (80%) to
choose the luxury segment. When it comes to the
ultra-luxury segment, only 24% of the first-timers
opt for it as compared to 63% of return cruisers. This
highlights the potential of upselling the luxury and
ultra-luxury segments to repeat cruisers.
