Forty-three percent (43%) of advisors say that
grandparents pay for the multi-generational
vacations (see Chart 20). However, for more
than half of the vacations, the bookings are
paid for either by parents or the combination
of grand-parents and parents. Advisors need
to engage with both the elder generations –
parents and the grandparents. Since there
could potentially be multiple decision-mak-
ers in planning a multi-generational trip,
advisors need to have clarity on how billing
should be handled during the negotiation.
