The price remains the top consideration for
families while booking a multi-generational
cruise vacation, say 76% of advisors (see Chart
18). While the perception of a multi-genera-
tional cruise vacation is that it’s expensive,
the reality is that the sum total of the various
components more than adds up to the price.
Thus, it is incumbent upon the advisor to
showcase value to offset cost as a deterrent.
The all-inclusive packages are the second
most important factor in booking multi-gen-
erational cruise vacations, which explains the
need for the specialized travel advisors’ skill
set to marry all the travel components into
one booking.
