appreciates the quality of their experience
over how much it costs. Fifty-nine percent
of advisors said that river cruise clients are
their highest spenders.
Advisors also said their river cruise clientele
is well aware of the destinations available
and has well-defined expectations. Yet, they
come to advisors to plan a better experi-
ence. Advisors respond by recommending
cruise lines that best meet the needs of their
clients. Sometimes clients are looking for a
specific destination, itinerary or river they
want to visit, and advisors share a cruise
that matches their needs and expectations.
More experienced advisors tend to sell longer
duration cruises. For the client, this trans-
lates to value for money with lower average
nightly rates.
