I worked for the agency
years ago and, once
deciding to go independent,
I contracted my service
with them again.
Over half of the advisors surveyed select their
host agency based on referrals from their peers
or friends in the industry. We did see a trend
of advisors who selected their host as a result
of making the transition from employee to IC,
which changed the nature of their business
relationship.
