Similar to consortium, commissions are once again
a clear and compelling mandate for choosing a host
agency. But in this case, customer support and service
rank much higher than exclusive promotions (see Chart
11). Over and over again, advisors shared testimo-
nies about the help which their host offered through
the storm. From the head office to peer support, it
was a sense of belonging that stood out among our
respondents.
