Margaritaville Announces Another Florida Resort After Opening Its New Orlando Location

Margaritaville Announces Another Florida Resort After Opening Its New Orlando Location

Reservations are now open for Margaritaville Resort Orlando.

As Margaritaville readies to debut its newest resort in Orlando, the hospitality company revealed plans are underway to open yet another property in Florida, this time in Panama City Beach.

The Margaritaville Beach Resort, Panama City Beach, will open in the spring of 2021. The destination resort will be built on more than 13 acres, and include a full-service hotel, multiple pools, a lazy river, a kid’s splash play area, several “signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts,” as well as retail and residential properties.

Meanwhile, reservations have opened for Margaritaville Resort Orlando, for stays beginning January 2019.

Spanning over 300 acres, the sprawling Margaritaville Resort Orlando includes four main components: Margaritaville Hotel, Margaritaville Cottages, Sunset Walk (a dining and entertainment district), and Island H2O Live! Waterpark.

The brand’s signature, laid-back island style can be found throughout the property, from the 184 guestrooms to the main lobby with its floor-to-ceiling views of the lagoon pools. Fun décor elements, from a margarita glass chandelier made of over 300 glasses to a 13-foot flip-flop sculpture, will be on display as well.

Each room includes plush white bedding, a flat-screen TV, a coffee-maker, a mini-bar and a workstation. Suites are also available, including the 2,500-square-foot Jimmy Buffett Suite, which includes its own private kitchen and an impressive terrace. All rooms have balconies that overlook Fins Up Beach Club and beach-entry lagoon pools.

Margaritaville Resort Orlando will offer three dining options. For an upscale dinner, Euphoria features an open-air kitchen, fresh seafood and grilled fare. Provisions is a fast, casual restaurant serving various grab-and-go gourmet bites. And the poolside Salty Rim Bar & Grill serves island-inspired comfort-food and grilled favorites.

The property also has 40,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space; a spa with eight treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room and salt room; and the Kids’ and Teens’ Club.

Since opening its first hotel in 2010, Jimmy Buffet’s growing Margaritaville empire now operates 14 properties in the U.S. and the Caribbean, and has more than 20 additional locations in the pipeline.

Jim Wiseman, president of Margaritaville development, previously told Travel Market Report that the brand is “high quality but accessible. It’s as much about the hammock as about the beach.”

Agents booking with Margaritaville can take advantage of its travel agent program. The License to Chill Travel Agent Program rewards agents with a Margaritaville gift card for number of room nights booked. Additionally, from now through Dec. 20, 2018, travel agents can receive up to 25 percent off best available rates at the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort in Florida.
