American Airlines is adding nine new destinations as part of a major expansion at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
The expansion is highlighted by new service to Honolulu (HNL), which begins Oct. 26, 2025, along with two new European routes: Madrid (MAD), launching in March, and Naples (NAP), starting May 6.
The Naples service will be the only nonstop flight between Chicago and the Italian city. American will operate both the Naples and Madrid routes with its new Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
The rest of the additions are in North America. New flights to Bismarck (BIS), Boise (BOI), Colorado Springs (COS), and Spokane (GEG) begin June 5. Service to Hyannis (HYA) and Halifax (YHZ) starts June 21.
In total, American will operate up to 480 daily flights from O’Hare starting in June, offering 25% more seats and 22% more departures than in 2024. That includes 10 daily flights to eight European destinations, with three daily flights to London Heathrow Airport (LHR).
That expansions includes 40% additional premium seats from O’Hare compared to last summer, as well. American operates three of its Admirals Club lounges and one Flagship Lounge at O’Hare.
