Rocky Mountaineer’s luxury train itineraries in the United States will rebrand as Canyon Spirit and add a new destination in 2026.
Armstrong Collective, Canyon Spirit’s parent company, will still operate Rocky Mountaineer as is in Canada, now distinguishing its Canada and U.S. operations with two separate brands. Canyon Spirit also announced that it will extend its Rockies to the Red Rocks route to include Salt Lake City, Utah, beginning spring of next year.
“Although the name of our train is changing, our world-class service and onboard experience will remain the same,” said Tristan Armstrong, CEO of Armstrong Collective. “Our family and team members all look forward to sharing the beauty of the American Southwest with even more guests from across the United States and around the world.”
The company’s U.S. train operated under the Rocky Mountaineer name since it debuted in 2021 and noted that the rebranding reflects its “commitment to providing unforgettable train journeys through the American Southwest’s most compelling landscapes that include rugged river canyons, red rock formations, and the Colorado River.”
The train tour operator’s new three-day Rockies to the Red Rocks Extension journey, which includes Salt Lake City, will operate in addition to its existing two-day Rockies to the Red Rocks route, which travels from Denver to Moab. The extended itinerary will be offered weekly starting April 21, 2026.
