The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe opened its new luxury guest amenity, the Lake Club.

The Jeremy West Hollywood will open this month, but it won’t be there for long. There are already plans to rebrand the boutique hotel under the eco-luxe 1 Hotels brand. At the corner of Sunset and La Cienega Boulevards, the property offers 286 guestrooms, including 50 suites and two penthouses, as well as a restaurant and a lobby bar.
San Franciso’s Hotel Drisco reopened after completing renovations. The project updated all 48 guestrooms in this early-20th-century property, including 16 suites. Each room now features new custom-designed furniture and vanities, carpeting, window treatments, light fixtures and sound insulation upgrades. There’s also a new high-speed elevator, renovated dining room and boardroom, and hallway art.
The Kimpton Hotel Born Denver is slated to open August 15 in the revitalized LoDo neighborhood. The urban design includes elements like exposed concrete ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and an entirely original art collection of 750 pieces by local artists. Hotel Born offers 200 guestrooms, nearly 14,000 square feet of meeting space including two private terraces — one facing the mountains to the West, the other overlooking the now iconic Union Station Transit Hub canopy — and two new restaurants, Citizen Rail and Tavernetta.

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe has completed and opened its new luxury guest amenity, the Lake Club, offering a ground-floor dining terrace, an upper-level dining deck and an expansive lawn extending to the water’s edge. The waterside venue provides guests direct beach access and a private boat pier, as well as activities and water sports, including boating, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Additional features include an outdoor spa and inviting fire pit, showers and changing facilities. Food and beverage offerings range from a rotating menu from the grill, such as marinated skirt steak and grilled salmon, seasonal salads, desserts, breakfast and signature cocktails.

Minutes from historical downtown Puebla, a new 155-room Crowne Plaza has opened. The Crowne Plaza Puebla features the brand’s signature WorkLife guestrooms, most with panoramic views of the city. The hotel’s 21 suites have full kitchens; one executive suite has a separate meeting area. The property also offers a heated indoor swimming pool, a business center and a Mexican restaurant.
Barceló México Reforma, a new five-star flagship property, opened in the heart of Mexico City. The 500-room hotel features a buffet restaurant, a steakhouse, lobby bar, wellness offerings, a sports bar and lounge, and meeting facilities that can accommodate up to 800 people.
Europe
With sweeping 180-degree views of Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alps, Switzerland’s newest luxury resort, the 148-acre Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort Lake Lucerne, will open its doors at the end of the month. All of the five-star hotel’s 102 guestrooms and suites have brass fireplaces, windows that extend out from the façade, and oak cabinetry and furniture made by Italian and Swiss designers. The Italian marble baths feature walk-in rain showers and double bathtubs with panoramic views. The property also has the Lakeview Bar & Lounge, a 66-seat private cinema, a wine cellar, a cigar lounge and a private dining room.

Overlooking London’s famous Leicester Square, Victory House is set for a soft launch this month, followed by an official opening in September. It’s part of the MGallery by Sofitel collection of high-end hotels. Each of the 86 bedrooms features 1950s film icons with black and white art deco interiors. That theme is carried throughout the hotel, with 1950s movie stars pictured in the corridors and silent movies projected in the lift and lobby. The Petit Bistro offers French-inspired cuisine using local produce and cocktails.
