Four Seasons Yachts celebrated a significant construction milestone today: the float out of its initial vessel, Four Seasons I.
The float out ceremony marks the first time a vessel enters the water. It is held once the construction of the ship’s exterior is complete, and honors the shipbuilders’ labor. Following the float out, the ship will be relocated to a wet dock for the final phase of construction.
The celebration, held at the Fincantieri Shipyard in Ancona, Italy, also marks the one-year countdown to the Four Seasons I’s inaugural sailing.
“The Float Out marks a key milestone in bringing Four Seasons personalized service and renowned experiences to the seas,” said Alejandro Reynal, president and CEO of Four Seasons.
Nadim Ashi, owner and executive chair, Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings LTD, the joint owner/operator of Four Seasons Yachts, acknowledged the “hard work, commitment, and expert craftsmanship” of those responsible for designing and building the Four Seasons I.
“I know I speak for everyone in attendance today when I say it is an honor to be joined by the many men and women whose dedication and expertise has allowed us to witness this monumental moment. And I cannot think of a better way to start our official one-year countdown to the January 2026 debut of this extraordinary vessel, which will redefine luxury at sea in every way imaginable,” said Ashi.
The former Qatari government official His Excellency Sheikh Sultan J. Al-Thani and representatives from Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings Ltd., Four Seasons, Four Seasons Yachts, and Fincantieri were also in attendance.
“As we continue our strategic growth, we are creating a luxury ecosystem where guests can stay, live, and travel with a brand they know and trust. Our entry into luxury yachting is a key part of this vision, and with one year until we set sail, the excitement and momentum continues to build,” added Reynal.
The Four Seasons I sets sail in January 2026 with winter and spring voyages in the Caribbean, followed by Mediterranean sailings in the summer. The luxury ship will feature 95 residential-style suites.
