Empress Of The Seas Stays In Drydock
Royal Caribbean International will keep the Empress of the Seas in drydock longer than expected, cancelling six March and April sailings.
The Empress was expected to sail out of Miami when it returned to the fleet on March 30, but will remain in drydock for the time being.
The Empress had been undergoing an extensive refurbishment—it had been sailing for the Spanish brand Pullmantur, but was being rebranded under Royal.
Passengers on sailings that were scheduled to depart March 30, April 4, April 7, April 16, and April 21 have the option to cancel for a full refund, switch the booking to the Majesty of the Seas, or rebook on the Empress for a sailing after April 21.
Royal is giving guests who rebook $100 onboard credit.
