Royal Caribbean is expanding its presence in California with a new homeport in San Diego for the winter 2026/27 season.
Itineraries will focus on the Mexican Riviera and will include three-, four-, and seven-night options to destinations such as Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, and – new to Royal Caribbean – La Paz, Mexico. All sailings will be onboard Serenade of the Seas.
“We’re thrilled to deliver more opportunities for thrill-seekers on the West Coast to experience a Royal Caribbean vacation and to continue collaborations with our valued travel partners in the region and beyond,” said Vicki Freed, senior vice president, sales, trade support and service, Royal Caribbean International. “Our return to Los Angeles with Navigator and Ovation of the Seas, homeport from San Diego for the first time with Serenade of the Seas, and inclusion of new destinations like La Paz, Mexico on our itineraries are a testament to our continued growth.”
San Diego will be the line’s second homeport in California after Los Angeles, where the line operates cruises on four different ships.
Bookings for the San Diego-based sailings are now open.
