Sabre Corp. this week unveiled SafePoint, a duty-of-care solution that automatically monitors all of a corporation’s trips and keeps travelers connected when incidents occur.
For travelers using TripCase, SafePoint will monitor a traveler’s entire itinerary, not just PNR segments, including out-of-program bookings and other trip components. Security intelligence is provided by iJET International, a prominent travel risk management company.
In the event of an incident or disrupted travel, iJET’s intelligence will feed into SafePoint, which will automatically notify affected travelers via the TripCase mobile app, SMS, e-mail and push notifications.
TripCase allows travelers to check in with their companies and provide GPS location
The application also provides easy access to an emergency assistance hotline.
For travel professionals and managers, risk-management teams and security advisers, an intuitive dashboard provides a view of events affecting their travelers in a consumer-grade user experience across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
SafePoint is part of Sabre’s move to create an all-in-one mobile platform that incorporates TripCase itinerary management, GetThere booking capabilities and Sabre’s Virtual Payments solution.
Sabre said travelers will be more likely to stay connected with their corporations through SafePoint if it is integrated into an app that covers the entire life cycle of the trip.
