Sabre Enables Virtual Payments For More Products
by Michele McDonaldSabre expanded the scope of its Sabre Virtual Payments product, allowing virtual cards to be used for air tickets, ancillary sales, service fees, credit card fees and Amtrak. It plans to extend it to European rail later this year.
The company also introduced Sabre Virtual Payments Ticketer, a software application that augments the fulfillment tasks and charges the same virtual card used for the air ticket when associated seats and bags, service fees or incremental credit card fees are added to the transaction. The product integrates Sabre Virtual Payments with air carriers that require immediate ticketing, also known as Guaranteed Ticketing Carriers.
