Sabre Corp. on Tuesday announced that it has signed new agreements with Bedsonline, TravelBound, and the Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN) to add more than half a million properties to Sabre Content Services for Lodging.
Bedsonline, which caters exclusively to travel agencies, will bring more than 170,000 properties in 120 countries to the network; TravelBound, which also sells exclusively to travel agents, will bring 50,000 hotels in 190 countries; and EAN will bring more than 250,000 properties worldwide.
In a statement announcing the move, Sabre senior vice president of lodging, ground, and sea said that bringing the new aggregator content with the traditional GDS hotel content “makes travel agents and corporate booking tool providers more efficient, effective and confident in the increased depth and breadth of lodging offerings they are able to bring to their travelers.”
“These agreements are key to helping us better serve customers in all regions around the globe,” she added.
With the agreement, the Sabre Content Services for Lodging, which is set to launch later this year, will offer more than 900,000 property options from both GDS and non-GDS sources. It will include the capabilities of Sabre APIs and will be incorporated into Sabre Red Workspace, GetThere, and TripCase.
According to Sabre, the new Content Services for Lodging will also let agents see the content of the room and compare options side-by-side before booking.
