Headquarter Happenings: New Host Travel Agent Pro Launches
by Daniel McCarthy
A new host agency, launched by industry veterans, is working to carve out a niche as a boutique, community-driven option designed by advisors, for advisors.
Travel Agent Pro officially launched as a host agency in 2024, but the groundwork for the brand started well before then. Even before its official sign-up process, advisors were already reaching out to join, making the launch feel more like a soft opening.
The brand is led by Jill LaBarre, an agency owner at Jill’s Great Escapes. She co-founded Travel Agent Pro, which is a Signature member, with Lia Vincent, owner of Vincent Vacations.
LaBarre told Travel Market Report that her experience as an advisor and agency owner fueled her desire to build a host agency from the ground up.
“At the very core, I am a travel advisor—that’s why I got into this business. I wanted to learn this business from hands-on experience: what it truly takes to plan a vacation,” she said.
Travel Agent Pro is positioned as a boutique and intimate host agency, designed with input from experienced advisors across the industry. It aims to foster a close-knit community where advisors can collaborate and learn from each other, whether they are new to the industry or seasoned professionals.
Like other host agencies, Travel Agent Pro carefully vets potential members to ensure the right fit. LaBarre emphasized that the agency isn’t looking to scale to thousands of advisors—it’s about building a strong, supportive network.
“We’re not looking to be a host agency of thousands. We want to know our members, understand their business, and support their growth in a meaningful way,” LaBarre told TMR.
She also highlighted the value of a host agency beyond just backend support.
“Being part of a host agency means you’re part of a community. One of the biggest benefits is surrounding yourself with like-minded professionals, learning from colleagues, and collaborating at events,” she said. “Many times, your best resource is your fellow advisors.”
Another major draw of Travel Agent Pro is its flexible commission structure. The host offers commission splits ranging from 70% to 100%, with a sliding scale of monthly fees that can be paid annually at a discount. The model is designed to be adaptable for different types of advisors, whether they are working solo or growing a team.
“Many advisors are now adding their own teams. We structured our program to support this growth, ensuring advisors have the tools and resources they need to build sustainable businesses,” LaBarre said.
Education is another cornerstone of Travel Agent Pro’s approach. LaBarre emphasized the importance of ongoing learning and professional development, with resources available through supplier partners and the Signature Travel Network.
“Regardless of where you are in your career, the need to evolve and educate yourself never stops,” she said. “We want to ensure advisors have the tools, training, and connections they need to thrive.”
