Today InteleTravel announced its acquisition of UK-based Tickitto, an API platform for ticketed events and experiences.
Tickitto is a business technology service provider, offering white-label ticket booking for events and experiences, such as concerts, theater shows, and sporting events. The company was founded in 2019.
The partnership gives InteleTravel direct contracted access to events and experiences inventory, which previously was difficult due to the “complexity of ticketing supply and a fragmented, outdated marketplace,” InteleTravel said in a press release.
The acquisition also means that InteleTravel advisors will have access to tickets for major events before the pricing becomes bloated in the secondary tertiary reseller markets.
“Our analysis shows that 1 in 10 travel bookings are related to a live event, concert or sporting event and these tickets are the center of thousands of additional dollars in spend. We believe that 2025 will continue to see a rise in ‘eventcations’ and be as much about the unique moments people are seeking as the destinations they want to visit,” said James R. Ferrara, CEO of InteleTravel.
Under the acquisition deal, Tickitto is a wholly-owned subsidiary of InteleTravel. The company and its current team, including founder and CEO Dana Lattouf, will operate as an independent brand alongside subsidiaries Hickory Global Partners, MGME and Major Travel.
“With Tickitto now under the InteleTravel umbrella, we can take advantage of our packaging ability through our supply partners, our technology and our tour operation, Major Travel, to offer more value and a richer experience to our customers and increase profits for our advisors and our companies,” added Ferrara.
At the InteleTravel conference last month, Ferrara hinted at the deal, saying it would provide the host agency’s advisors more opportunities for bookings.
“You will have direct access to NFL tickets weeks before Ticketmaster,” he told advisors at ITQ 2025. “All the major league sporting events … show and concert tours … all of this in a slick booking tool in your InteleTravel back office.”
