DMAI And NTA Enter Strategic Partnership
by Maria LisellaDestination Marketing Association International (DMAI) and the National Tour Association (NTA) have finalized a strategic partnership that focuses on creating educational opportunities and benefits for members of both organizations.
The partnership is expected to benefit the travel agent community by developing stronger tour products.
“By NTA strengthening its connection to the DMO community, our tour operators will have enhanced opportunities to add to their tour product, which they, in turn, can offer to travel agents,” said Bob Rouse, NTA’s communication manager. At last count, NTA had more than 500 destination members, which provides DMAI a stronger link to the group travel market.
Additionally, NTA is launching its DMO Network, an idea-sharing initiative that allows destination members to come together and exchange questions, share knowledge and explore new partnerships. The group will hold its first meeting at NTA’s Travel Exchange in San Antonio in December. Both groups also sponsor the U.S. Travel Association’s Destination Capitol Hill. ntaonline.com.
