Unite Sets New BA Strike Date
by Michele McDonaldUnite, the union that represents British Airways’ “mixed fleet” cabin crew, has rescheduled its 48-hour strike for Jan 10. The crew members—those hired since 2010 at lower wage scales—are protesting “poverty pay.”
Unite said British Airways is seeking to “unpick the progress” made toward addressing the pay issues during talks with a conciliation service.
The strike had originally been set for Dec. 25-26.
