Viking Ocean Cruises has added 10 new itineraries and more than 30 new ports of call to its 2017 and 2018 sailings.
Among the new itineraries are “Trade Routes of the Middle Ages,” a 15-day sailing that departs from Bergen, Norway, to 10 ports with significant naval histories, including Amsterdam and Paris; and “British Isles Explorer,” a 15-day cruise from Bergen that stops at the former Viking outposts of Shetland and the Orkney Islands, the Scottish Highlands, Dublin, and London.
The itineraries will sail on Viking Ocean ships. The newest, the Viking Sun, will debut in December 2017 with Viking’s first-ever 141-day world cruise, visiting 25 countries and 66 ports. It will then head back to Europe to sail the new itineraries.
Prices for the sailings start at $1,999 per person. Early booking deals—including two-for-one fares—are available.
