Six additional Princess Cruises ships will be offering the line’s MedallionClass Vacations in 2020, the first time Princess will be sailing to Australia, New Zealand, and a world cruise with its MedallionClass.
The ships will be added starting on Jan. 27, 2020, with Ruby Princess; and then will be rolled out through the rest of the year with Grand Princess on Mar. 29, Enchanted Princess on June 15, Emerald Princess on Aug. 16, Coral Princess on Oct. 16, and Island Princess on Dec. 20.
The OceanMedallion, a piece of wearable technology that Princess introduced last year, holds a guest’s information so that crew members can identify them during the sailing. The technology allows guests to open their cabin, make payments, and embark and disembark all through a small pendant that can be worn on a wristband, a necklace, or kept in a pocket.
“Our guests who have experienced MedallionClass on Caribbean Princess, Regal Princess and Royal Princess have enthusiastically embraced the OceanMedallion. We are thrilled with the response and working to extend Princess MedallionClass to more guests around the world,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises’ president.
“Princess Cruises is passionately committed to giving all our guests the opportunity for a more personalized and simplified vacation experience.”
