MITSUI OCEAN CRUISES has unveiled 18 new sailings operating between April 2025 and May 2026 that blend Japan’s maritime heritage, unique culture, and seasonal attractions, including several popular festivals.
These sailings are perfect for advisors with clients who want to visit Japan this year but haven’t been able to find land space due to the country’s growing popularity.
Among the newly released sailings are a last-minute April 17-24, 2025 voyage that takes in Japan’s cherry blossom season, as well as stops at Jeju Island, Hakata, and Sukumo; and an April 24-May 5, 2025 sailing that also features cherry blossom season, along with visits to Aomori’s Hirosaki Castle, Ofunato’s Chusonji Temple, and Busan’s Beomeosa Temple.
A July 17-26, 2025 sailing focuses on Japan’s fireworks festivals, and visits Noshiro, Sadogashima Island, Kanazawa, and Jeju Island, while the July 26-Aug. 7, 2025 sailing takes in Nebuta Festival in Aomori, one of Japan’s most spectacular summer festivals. The Aug. 7-16, 2025 sailing features the Awa Odori Dance Festival and the Aug. 16-24, 2025 sailing takes place during the Kumano Fireworks Festival, a 300-year-old tradition.
“MITSUI OCEAN FUJI offers something truly one-of-a-kind – an atmosphere where Japanese and international guests come together in a shared cultural experience,” said Anthony Kaufman, head of commercial strategies, MITSUI OCEAN CRUISES.
