First Look: All-New Bow Artwork for New Disney Cruise Line Ship

Disney Cruise Line is in the midst of the largest expansion in the line’s history, and the public recently got a glimpse into what’s to come next.

This week, Disney unveiled a closer look into what guests can expect from Disney Treasure, the newest ship planned for delivery next year. Most notably, the cruise line gave future guests a first look into what the bow artwork will look like on the ship:

Disney marked a major milestone for the ship on March 30 when it had a keel laying ceremony at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Disney marked the occasion with a coin that portrayed Captain Minnie Mouse in a new adventure look that is part of a brand new motif that the line has never done before, one that Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro unveiled earlier this year.

Disney Treasure will be the sixth ship in Disney’s fleet. The 1,254-stateroom ship is scheduled for delivery sometime in 2024, though an exact date has yet to be revealed. It’s the second of three planned Wish-class ships that are powered by LNG fuel.

The first, Disney Wish, came into service last summer. That ship is now sailing with the same 1,254 staterooms, of which 70% have a balcony and 451 offer a connecting door. Wish debuted with a new cabin category for Disney Cruise Line, seven oceanview rooms located directly above the bridge. Each features floor-to-ceiling windows for a panoramic view. The ship also has a new Royal Suites category with a Sleeping Beauty theme.
