Barcelona Legend Hristo Stoichkov Headlines MSC Soccer Cruise
by Daniel McCarthyHristo Stoichkov, the former Barcelona FC star and one of the greatest Bulgarian soccer players of all time, will host a special soccer-themed Caribbean cruise on MSC Divina in May.
The sailing, which will depart on May 27 from Miami and call at St. Maarten and the Bahamas, includes a screening of Stoichkov’s career videos, a question and answer session, photo and autograph opportunities, and a goal-kicking contest coached by Stoichkob himself.
Guests will also be able to particpate in a charity auction for signed memorabilia, with proceeds benefiting the Hristo Stoichkov Foundation.
Prices start at $699 per person for a balcony stateroom.
Stoichkob is one of the most recognized soccer players of all time and is widely considered to be the best Bulgarian to ever play the sport. He won the Ballon d’Or, given to the best male soccer player during the previous year, in 1994, and was named to the FIFA 100 list of the world’s greatest living players in 2004.
