American Cruise Lines (ACL) christened its newest small ship, American Legend, at a Key West, Florida ceremony earlier this week.
Carrying 100 passengers, ACL’s newest ship features private balconies, four decks, and a catamaran bow. Guests onboard have access to amenities like a walking track and fitness center, multiple lounges, and an outdoor cafe.
American Legend is the fourth Coastal Cap ship, joining ACL’s American Liberty, American Eagle, and American Glory.
American Legend is currently sailing ACL’s 8-Day Florida Gulf Coast & Keys itinerary. The ship is scheduled to sail American Revolution cruises on Chesapeake Bay in March, coastal New England itineraries in the summer, and exclusive Hudson River cruises in the fall. American Legend will return to Florida in November.
“We are honored to host American Legend’s christening ceremony in Key West with Mayor Henriquez and all our community partners. American Cruise Lines looks forward to furthering our commitment to sustainable cruising—sharing America’s stories aboard state-of-the art small ships,” said Charles B. Robertson, president & CEO of American Cruise Lines.
