Amadeus Rolls Out ‘Total’ Cruise Booking Tool, And It’s Free
by Michele McDonaldAmadeus unveiled a free, next-generation cruise booking tool to provide travel professionals with the ability to shop and book cruises anytime, anywhere, regardless of their GDS affiliation.
Amadeus Total Cruise provides a one-stop shop, enabling agents to view, shop, and compare multiple cruise line offerings using a single booking tool.
It offers easy-to-read, interactive features, efficiency tools, and extensive search capabilities, with access to more than 20 cruise lines. The tool displays all pricing options in real time, side by side on one screen.
Amadeus said it will help agents increase revenues by outlining higher-priced options in an easy-to-use guide. Agents can view upgrade options for clients and earn higher commissions.
With “starting from” pricing displayed in search results, agents can search for different cabin types within a customer’s budget. Interactive deck plans feature flashing alerts to identify available cabins, streamlining the booking process.
A Past Passenger Look Up feature can automatically populate loyalty numbers.
Travel agents can manage and secure multiple cruise options in one request, as well as book spaces for larger groups.
Amadeus Total Cruise’s new reporting tools are designed to help agency managers gain full visibility into productivity. Managers can set user permissions such as preferred cruise lines and run reports to assess total cruise and agent sales.
Total Cruise will be available to U.S. and Canadian agents through the Amadeus Selling Platform Connect.
