Adventure Canada Sees Surge in Bookings from Canadian Travellers

Adventure Canada Sees Surge in Bookings from Canadian Travellers

Small-ship expedition cruise company Adventure Canada says it is experiencing an unprecedented rise in interest and bookings from Canadian travellers, with 71% of guests in 2025 hailing from Canada — a number that has climbed to 78% for 2026 reservations.

“More than ever, travellers are shifting their bookings to Adventure Canada, reinforcing their commitment to community, culture, and conservation,” the company says in a statement.

The shift represents what many in the industry see as a growing trend spurred by trade conflicts between the U.S. and Canada, as well as U.S. President Trump’s frequent comments that Canada should become the 51ststate — more Canadians are prioritizing travel within their own country and choosing to support homegrown travel proviers.

“We welcome anyone with an open mind and a spirit of adventure,” says Cedar Swan, CEO of Adventure Canada.

“It’s inspiring to see more Canadians eager to experience the breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and incredible people that make our country so unique. For nearly 40 years, we’ve navigated these waters with those who know them best, fostering education, exploration, and camaraderie along the way. We’re proud to share these experiences and deepen connections to Canada.”

Adventure Canada says that in addition to spectacular destinations, its sailings are known for a vibrant onboard community, where celebrated Canadians bring storytelling, music, science, and photography to life.
