Palm Beach Celebrates Frank Sinatra’s 100th Birthday
December 12th marks Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday—and to celebrate, Palm Beach, CA, has a weekend extravaganza planned to celebrate the legend and his second home.
Known as The “Riv,” Riviera Palm Springs kicks off the birthday weekend with Saturday night headliners James Darren and Trini Lopez. Celebrity Tours will offer a “Sinatra on Saturday” tour of homes and places Sinatra frequented, including the homes of Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, Bob Hope, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe.
Colony Palms, a frequent hangout of the Rat Pack, is celebrating Sinatra’s triple-digit birthday with a signature Sinatra cocktail and “Old Hollywood” prix fixe menu and a Sinatra-era jazz band on Saturday, December 12. The special “Sleep with Frank at CPH” room package at $169 per night (Sun.-Thurs.) includes a welcome martini for two, $25 food and beverage credit, and a surprise takeaway.
Visitors can even stop by Desert Memorial Park, where Sinatra is buried—it is rumored with a Jack Daniels bottle and a pack of Camel cigarettes.
