The Kimpton De Witt opened Monday in Amsterdam.
Kimpton Hotels made its European debut Monday when the Kimpton De Witt opened in Amsterdam’s Palace Quarter Neighborhood.
The 274-room hotel is housed within three original Dutch Golden Age-era buildings. It includes “Little House,” a three-story suite with two king-sized beds that was the former childhood home of the Dutch playwright. There is also a two-story penthouse with a roof terrace.
On-site dining options include Wyers Bar and Restaurant serving American fare and House Bar, an on-property bar that features an extensive list of local gins and genevers.
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants was acquired in 2015 by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). The boutique hotel company still plans to open a property in Paris in 2020.
