Helicopter Crashes Into New York’s Hudson River

A helicopter has crashed into the Hudson River near Manhattan in New York, causing multiple fatalities.
The Associated Press have reported that six passengers died in the crash.
The NYPD posted about the incident on X: “Due to a helicopter crash in the Hudson River, in the vicinity of the West Side Highway and Spring Street, expect emergency vehicles and traffic delays in the surrounding areas,” the NYPD said in the post.
The helicopter was spotted upside-down, submerged in the river. Rescue teams with the NYPD, Jersey City, FDNY and others responded.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown.
Users shared videos of the crash and rescue efforts on social media platforms.
