UK Foreign Office Recalls Zika Warning for Jamaica
The United Kingdom’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office has removed its travel warning for Jamaica, which followed a confirmed case of Zika over the weekend. The department didn’t specify why it retracted the warning.
The Jamaican Health Ministry is investigating the source of the virus that infected a four-year-old child.
The virus, which is spread through mosquitoes, has been linked to birth defects in newborns. The outbreak has spread to 23 countries in Latin America.
