The Hawaii Certified Specialist Course, offered through the Travel Institute, is designed to explain the region’s travel opportunities and experiences to travel professionals. In the end, travel professionals will be able to match their client expectations with the right Hawaiian vacation to meet their needs.
The requirements for the Certified Destination Specialist designation include: passing the Destination Specialist test; attaining at least one year of related industry experience (selling or servicing individuals to that particular destination); complete and submit the Certification Form and a Destination Visit Report for your specialty; and maintaining your Certified status by completing a new Destination Visit Report every five years.
