ALG Vacations Unveils Social Media Training Courses for Travel Advisors

ALG Vacations (ALGV) has unveiled a new ALGVPro educational initiative to help travel advisors get the most out of their social media.
The new ALGVPro Social Media Courses were designed to help travel advisors grow their business through platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The program includes three self-paced courses, each dedicated to one of the aforementioned social media sites.
The courses feature structured training modules, covering topics such as choosing the right platform, setting up your business profile, how to use available analytics tools, tips for creating content, understanding SEO, and lead-conversion strategy.
ALGV created the new training in response to industry demand. The tour operator’s first social media webinar in 2023 drew in 1,300 registrants.
“Social media isn’t just a place to be seen; it’s where today’s travelers are researching, dreaming, and ultimately booking,” said Anna Maria Addesso, ALGV vice president of marketing. “We created ALGVPro Social Media Courses to give advisors a strong, strategic foundation for standing out online, connecting with audiences, and growing their business with purpose.”
For a limited time, ALGV is running a promotion to celebrate the launch. Travel advisors who complete all three modules by May 8 will be automatically entered to win a free stay, as well as social media “gadgets” to enhance their content creation.
The social media courses are now available as an optional ALGVPro elective. Completion of the course does not affect an advisor’s core ALGVPro certification.
