The iconic luxury brand, Waldorf Astoria, opened its first hotel in Southeast Asia with the debut of the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.
At 60 stories, the property towers over Thailand’s bustling capital, and floor-to-ceiling windows in the 171 rooms and suites offer views over the city’s downtown. The spacious guestrooms include walk-in closets, personal bar, and spa-inspired bathrooms with marble bathtubs.

On the 10th floor, the 7,900-square-foot Magnolia Ballroom offers a sprawling space for weddings and social events that can accommodate up to 700 people standing or 330 guests seated.
The hotel houses six restaurants and bars, designed by famed architects such as André Fu and AVROKO. At the Front Room, dishes are a blend of local Thai ingredients and Nordic cooking techniques; while The Brasserie serves French-inspired cuisine. The Champagne Bar sits at the top of the building on the 57th floor. Just below it is the New York-inspired Bull & Bear, offering an array of grilled meats and seafood.
Guests also have access to a signature spa with services including traditional Thai massages, an open-air infinity pool with private cabanas, plus a 24-hour fitness center.
Hilton, the brand’s parent company, also began this weekend the rebranding of the Mandarin Oriental on the Las Vegas Strip to the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. The hotel will boast 392 guestrooms and 225 residences, which will be reimagined over the course of the next 18 months. The conversion will also add a French-inspired restuarant, Twist, by Michelin-Star rated Chef Pierre Gagnaire, and The SkyBar on the 23rd floor.
There are also plans for an expansive 27,000-square-foot spa spanning two floors, offering an array of therapies, seven private couple’s suites, multiple relaxation experiences, a Hamman and a Zen Foot Spa. The 8th floor pool deck, outfitted with cabanas, is a desert retreat tucked away from high-rise towers, with stunning views, two pools, two whirlpools and a plunge pool.
