The development is part of a major push by Sandals to expand its offering of overwater following a successful launch in Jamaica. Since opening in December, five suites at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay are booked well into 2018, at an average of $3,000 a night. The relaunched Sandals South Coast, formerly Sandals Whitehouse, has 12 overwater bungalows, as well as Sandals’ first dedicated over-the-water bar; a floating swim-up bar in the ocean; and an over-the-water wedding chapel. Sandals previously announced plans to bring the concept to an additional three properties in Jamaica.

Sandals Resorts also is debuting new luxury room categories at Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals South Coast. The renovated Oceanfront Penthouse Club Level Junior Suites are located on the penthouse floor of Sandals Montego Bay’s Almonds building. At the Sandals South Coast, the Italian Beachfront One Bedroom Walkout Butler Suites include a large master bedroom and a living room with wall-to-wall glass doors leading to a patio with views of the beach. Both are available to book now for travel immediately.
