Ultra-low-cost carrier Swoop is restarting one of its more popular routes.

Swoop has officially restarted service between Hamilton, Ontario and Montego Bay, Jamaica. The carrier is now flying that route twice weekly with fares starting at $159 CAD.

“As Canada’s leading ultra-low fare airline, we are thrilled to bring back our popular service between Hamilton and Montego Bay as part of our historic winter expansion,” said Bob Cummings, President of Swoop.

“With demand for leisure travel at an all-time high across Canada, we are excited to be leading the ULCC market for sun flying, enabling Hamiltonians to escape to warmer climates this winter.”

Swoop now flies to over 100 U.S., Mexico, and Caribbean sun destinations each week, including eight different routes from Hamilton. That schedule, which includes 24 total weekly departures, features cities including Ft. Lauderdale, Cancun, Las Vegas, Orlando, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Cana, and more.

Swoop has been undertaking a rapid expansion since its launch in 2018. Bert van der Stege, Swoop’s head of commercial and finance, spoke to TMR last year and said that travelers should expect Swoop to continue that rapid expansion, both inside and outside Canada.
