Kimpton will open its 10th hotel tomorrow, the Kimpton Glover Park Hotel in Washington D.C.
The hotel is located on the border of Glover Archbold Park, just north of Georgetown, near the National Mall and Potomac River. Acclaimed chef Michael Schlow, of Radius in Boston fame, will head the property’s Italian restaurant Casolare, which opens in July.
Each of the hotel’s 154 rooms features custom artwork by Michele Oka Doner, memory foam beds, and work desks. Twenty-five rooms offer unobscured views of the nation’s capital, and 21 have fully equipped kitchenettes.
Other amenities include a complimentary shuttle to and from the Woodley Park Metro Station and Smithsonian National Zoo, mini bars stocked with local and organic options, morning coffee and tea in the hotel’s living room, complimentary PUBLIC bike rentals, 24-hour access to the Urban Athletic Club gym, and a nightly wine hour. Kimpton Karma Rewards members also get free Wi-Fi.
