Is Poppi the Future of Air Travel?
While the sharing economy might not be invading the airline industry just yet, a new startup is readying to disturb the status quo.
Poppi, which CNN calls the airline industry’s answer to Uber, says its mission statement is to improve air travel as a whole. By being innovative, it will force the major airlines to follow suit, in order to keep up.
The start-up, which hasn’t yet launched, is flaunting products like a baggage system that sends luggage directly to a hotel, special promotions for middle-seat fliers, custom bag designs that click into place on the aircrafts, and real-time apps that reduce time wasting at the gate.
“What we wanted to do with Poppi is envision those disruptions now so that airlines operating today can start implementing them,” Poppi’s principal brand strategist Devin Liddell told CNN.
