The St. Regis Bermuda Resort is officially opened.
Marriott’s first St. Regis property in Bermuda, and its first-ever luxury property on the island, the new hotel is located in St. George’s, a UNESCO World Heritage site, among St. Catherine’s Beach.
The hotel opened to guests today, showcasing 120 guestrooms, including 21 suites, and a residential development made up of two- and three-bedroom spaces. Each of those 120 guest rooms features a private balcony with ocean views and a look at Fort St. Catherine, a coastal artillery fort at the northeast end of St. George’s Island.
For food and drink, the hotel offers an all-day restaurant called Lina that features light and fresh fare “inspired by the irreverent glamour of yachting clubs of the past.” It also offers two evening eateries—BLT Steak NY, which will serve steakhouse fare, and the iconic St. Regis Bar, which will serve light bites along with champagne and cocktails.
Aside from the debut of St. Regis, the opening this week will also mark the debut of the Gates Bay Mary, a signature cocktail for St. Regis that is essentially a Bloody Mary infused with native fennel, Goslings Gold Seal Rum, Outerbridge’s Original Sherry Peppers Sauce, and a “special spice mix” created on the island.
Outside of the eateries, St. Regis Bermuda Resort will also feature a 24-hour fitness center, The St. Regis Children’s Club, an 18-hole golf course, and a 5,500 sq. ft. gaming floor.
“Bermuda has long served as an exclusive destination for the global luminaries, making it the ideal location to debut a glamorous new St. Regis resort. Much like the island, St. Regis is steeped in rich history, offering a storied past and exciting future,” said George Fleck, Vice President and Global Brand Leader for St. Regis Hotels & Resorts.
