Air France Calculates the Price of Terrorism
It’s no surprise that the attacks in Paris have taken a dent out of what was on track to be France’s national carrier’s best year. On Tuesday, Air France put its revenue loss in November at $54 million due to canceled trips. Ticket sales will likely suffer into 2016, the airline said, but current trends are “in line with a progressive recovery.”
Last month, after the attacks, EasyJet CEO Carolyn McCall also predicted travel will begin to resume “after a period of time,” not just to Paris but to other troubled spots, including Egypt, where a Russian aircraft was downed last month.
