Sandals Resorts’ newest resort, its 16th overall and first in Curacao is officially open for bookings. The resort will officially open on April 14, 2022, but guests can book their travel dates starting today.
Sandals Royal Curacao is currently in construction, being built on a 44-acre area within the larger, 3,000-acre protected Santa Barbara Beach Resort in Curacao. Its location, within that private preserve, will allow guests to bike, hike, picnic, and spend time discovering the nature that surrounds the resort.
When it debuts, the resort will include 351 rooms and suites in 24 different categories, offering more all-inclusive options than any other Sandals property, including two new suite categories—the Awa Seaside Butler Bungalows and Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows.
The resort will also be home to Sandal’s first-ever Dos Awa infinity pool, with views overlooking the surrounding area, and the brand’s first-ever floating restaurant and bar called The Duchess.
In total, Sandals Royal Curacao will offer nine on-site five-star restaurants. Eight of those will be exclusive to the property, including an authentic wine and Dutch cheese bar.
Other offerings will include three different oceanfront wedding venues, a Red Lane Spa with six outdoor spa cabanas and treatment rooms, access to the neighboring Pete Dye 18-hole golf course, meeting space, and two marinas and 70 different dive sites.
“At Sandals Royal Curaçao, guests will also be able to hike, bike, and pick up a picnic basket to fuel days of discovery and exploration. Pure romance. And they can continue this adventurous spirit beyond our gates where they will find a world-class destination of great restaurants, fascinating locals, fine art, and visitors from all over the world. We have invested an additional $72 million in enhancements and improvements to complete the ‘Sandalization’ process of this already stunning property, and we can’t wait for our guests to be in awe,” said Adam Stewart, the executive chairman for Sandals.
