A new survey by Luxury Hotels has ranked the most expensive hotels in the world by comparing their nightly minimum rates around the globe for the summer months.
The Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, a luxury tent camp near Tofino on Vancouver Island’s west coast, is the most expensive hotel in North America and number eight in the world, with a minimum rate of $3,347 per night.
Here’s the full list, with the lowest available price a couple would spend in each this summer.

2. Laucala Island Resort, Taveuni, Fiji: $5,700
3. Khwai River Lodge, Okavango Delta, Botswana: $4,710
4. Savute Elephant Camp, Chobe, Botswana: $4,710
5. Eagle Island Camp, Okavango Delta, Botswana: $4,710
6. The Brando, Windward Islands: $3,947
7. Fregate Island, Seychelles: $3,637
