To encourage confidence in travel, Palladium Hotel Group is offering guests free medical insurance as it begins to reopen hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean this summer.

Guests staying at Palladium Hotel Group properties in the Americas will be insured with guaranteed services for any incidents directly related to COVID-19 that may arise during their stay, including expenses for any illness arising during stays, medical transfer of patients, and the extension of stays. It will be available for a year for those who book through tour operators or travel advisors, as well as book direct.

The insurance will be available at the following resorts: Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa, TRS Coral Hotel and Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa in Mexico; Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa in Jamaica; Dominican Fiesta Hotel & Casino, Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino, Grand Palladium Bávaro Suites Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort & Spa, TRS Turquesa Hotel and TRS Cap Cana Hotel in the Dominican Republic, as well as Palladium Hotel Group’s properties in Spain.

The new initiative has been launched in collaboration with the risk management company, Materh, which has advised Palladium Hotel Group to contract a policy designed by InterMundial with the support of Europ Assistance.

It joins Palladium’s other measures in response to COVID, including the development of Health & Safety Protocols certified by SGS, and the Palladium Hotel Group Global Customer Experience and Safety Council, which is composed of executives across all company brands and hotels, as well as independent technical advisers.

The Spanish hotel chain has officially reopened four of their properties in the Americas, including Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa, TRS Coral Hotel and Grand Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa in Mexico on July 1, and Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa in Jamaica on July 10.

Additional summer reopenings include Santo Domingo’s Dominican Fiesta on July 27 and Grand Palladium Imbassaí Resort & Spa in Brazil on Aug. 6. Grand Palladium Palace Resort Spa & Casino, Grand Palladium Bávaro Suites Resort & Spa, Grand Palladium Punta Cana Resort and Spa and TRS Turquesa Hotel, all located in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, will welcome guests back on Oct. 9, and TRS Cap Cana Hotel will resume operations on Oct. 30.
