As travel destinations open their borders and nonstop flights resume service, Karisma Hotels & Resorts will begin to reopen June 15 across Mexico and the Caribbean.
According to Karisma, resorts have seen “marked increases” in bookings for vacations and weddings.
“This shows that travel is coming back gradually but steadily and with even higher demand, which is incredibly important for our Mexico and Caribbean destinations that rely so heavily on tourism,” said Bill Linehan, president of Premier Worldwide Marketing, the exclusive worldwide representatives for Karisma Hotels & Resorts.
Four properties in Mexico’s Riviera Maya reopened on Monday – El Dorado Maroma, Palafitos Overwater Bungalows, Hidden Beach Au Naturel Resort, and Generations Riviera Maya.
On July 1, Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun will reopen along with five other Mexican resorts and Azul Beach Negril in Jamaica.
Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana in Domincan Republic will start welcoming guests again on July 15.
In response to COVID-19, Karisma has introduced a Peace of Mind program that features new health protocols, updated guidelines and industry-leading best practices, including ultra-violet sanitization, temperature monitoring thermal camera technology, formula steaming and fogging and germ-free service applications.
