Disney To Remove Alligator References In Wake Of Boy’s Death
Disney World is making some major changes to its shows and attractions following an alligator attack that killed a two-year old boy.
The company is reportedly removing all references and appearances of alligators throughout the park. Park guests reported no longer seeing Tic Toc Croc from Peter Pan at the Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom. Crocodile jokes from the Jungle Cruise, a script that has been used since 1962, and the Kilimanjaro Safari also have been dropped. Same goes for Luis, the alligator from “The Princess and the Frog,” who was supposed to appear in the new castle show.
Two-year old Lane Graves, from Nebraska, died June 14 when an alligator grabbed him from the Seven Seas Lagoon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. LINK
A Disney spokesperson said the processes and procedures for the entire property remain under review.
