’ said it has made the business decision to close hotels in all destinations until further notice. It’s “Move the Date, Keep the Rate” program will allow guests to change the date of travel for a future date between now and December 22, 2020.

Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas existing non-refundable rate reservations with travel through May 1, 2020 can be changed up to 24 hours prior to arrival as long as the change is made by April 30, 2020. Existing refundable rate reservations for travel through May 1, 2020 may be changed or canceled up to 24 hours prior to arrival without a charge as long as the change is made by April 30, 2020.

Banyan Tree Group reservations may be postponed to a later date without having to select a future day immediately, as long as changes are made 24 hours before your arrival date up to and including April 30, 2020. Reservations can also be transferred to a sister property. New bookings for stays before Sept. 30, 2020 can be changed or canceled at no charge up to 24 hours before arrival date.

Barceló Hotel Group bookings with arrival dates up to May 31, 2020 can be changed for free within the 12 months following the check-in date.

Club Med expanded its cancellation policy. For all new and existing bookings made with our standard or non-refundable rate to any resort worldwide, for travel through May 1, 2020, you have the option to: Revise your booking to any resort worldwide for travel up to April 30, 2022, and any revision fees will be waived. Canceled bookings will receive a Future Travel Credit for 100% of the land costs, valid for travel until April 30, 2022, as well as credit for 100% of flights booked through Club Med, applicable on the same airline and non-transferable (revised travel dates will depend on respective airline policies).

Club Med has decided to close all resorts in the French Alps, starting March 15 and until the end of the season. A Future Travel Credit for 100% of the land costs will be offered for travel through April 30, 2022.

Dream Hotel Group bookings (new or existing) for stays through April 30, 2020 may be re-booked at the same property for a future stay within one year of the original booking date, waiving any modification/cancellation penalties and applying any previously collected deposits to this future stay.

The Excellence Collection’s current flexible rescheduling policy, guests can reschedule their stay through December 22, 2020 at their original property (Excellence El Carmen or Excellence Punta Cana, honoring their original rate) or any of our other properties.

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is waiving cancellation fees until April 30, 2020 for any existing and new individual reservations at properties worldwide.

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts will waive all cancellation penalties for stays traveling through April 30, 2020. For stays booked by April 30, for travel from May 1 to Dec. 21, 2020 (new and existing bookings) changes will be permitted without penalty. Cancellations can be made 24 hours before arrival with no penalty. Guests also have the option to change to another property within the same resort category in a different destination with no additional fee or cancellation penalty.

Iberostar has closed several of its properties in Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, with an expected reopening date of May 1.

Karisma Hotels & Resorts new reservations made between March 18 and April 30, 2020 may be canceled up to 24 hours before arrival. Existing reservations may change the date of their current booking for a future travel date between now and December 31, 2021 as long as the change or cancellation is made by April 30, 2020. Additionally, guests have the option to change to another Karisma Hotel property within the same brand.

Meliá Hotels International bookings made from March 2 to March 31, 2020 may be canceled up to 24 hours before the check-in date without any cancellation fee or penalty. Bookings made before March 2, for arrivals until April 30, 2020, can be postponed up to 24 hours before arrival, choosing a later date until March 26, 2021. Reservations at closed hotels will be offered alternative accommodations of the same or superior quality in another hotel, or guests modify the bookings once the hotel affected is again operative. 

All of Meliá’s Spain properties are closed until at least March 31, 2020 after a government measure closed all hotels, as well as hotels in Milan, Rome and Genova in Italy and five hotels in Germany.

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts reservations booked between March 13 and April 30, 2020 for stays through Sept. 30, 2020, now have a 24-hour cancellation policy with no fees. For reservations booked prior to March 13, 2020, guests may rebook without a fee for up to 12 months, and any deposits will be applied to future reservations. In addition, Karisma is waiving cancellation fees for stays through April 30, 2020 for: guests traveling to any Rosewood property in the Asia Pacific region and Europe; and guests traveling from Europe, Iran, South Korea and the Asia Pacific region to any Rosewood property globally.

Sandals Resorts International is closing all Sandals and Beaches Resorts from March 30 to May 15, 2020. The brand operates 19 properties in the Caribbean, 10 of which are in Jamaica. Sandals said it will have a dedicated team reaching out to assist with rescheduling, sequentially contacting advisors and travelers according to arrival dates.
