U.S.-based, low-cost carrier Breeze Airways is expanding its operations with 22 new nonstop flights from 20 different cities.

The carrier, which was founded and is run by JetBlue founder David Neeleman, will now offer 143 nonstop routes between 35 cities in 21 states nationally. This week’s additions include the introduction of Portland, ME to Breeze’s national network starting in May.

“Here we grow again,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ Founder and Chief Executive Officer.  “Portland is our first Maine destination and a great addition to the route network.  We’re always looking for new routes that people are traveling today but can’t get there nonstop.”

Here are the new additions:

  • Akron-Canton, OH to Norfolk, VA
  • Charleston, SC to Portland, ME
  • Cincinnati, OH to Richmond, VA and Jacksonville, FL
  • Hartford, CT to Fort Myers, FL; New Orleans; LA; Tampa, FL; and Los Angeles, CA
  • Jacksonville, FL to Los Angeles; Pittsburgh; Cincinnati; and Louisville, KY
  • Long Island-Islip, NY to Pittsburgh and Richmond
  • Los Angeles to Jacksonville; New Orleans; Raleigh-Durham, NC; and Hartford
  • New Orleans to Hartford and Los Angeles
  • Norfolk to Akron-Canton; Portland, ME; Syracuse, NY; and Raleigh-Durham
  • Orlando, FL to Providence, RI
  • Pittsburgh, PA to Jacksonville; Long Island-Islip; Portland, ME; and Raleigh-Durham
  • Portland, ME to Charleston; Norfolk; Pittsburgh; and Tampa.
  • Providence, RI to Fort Myers; Orlando; Sarasota-Bradenton, FL; and Tampa.
  • Raleigh-Durham to Los Angele; Louisville; Pittsburgh; and Norfolk
  • Richmond, VA to Long Island-Islip and Cincinnati
  • Sarasota-Bradenton, FL to Providence
  • Syracuse to Norfolk
  • Tampa to Hartford; Portland; and Providence

Breeze will fly the new routes on A220s E-195 aircraft. The seat pitch for a Standard Economy seat is 30 inches on the A220s and 31 inches on the E-195s with extra legroom available.
